Zespri concedes jailed employee wasn’t responsible for customs breaches

Zespri has acknowledged the distress caused to a former employee who was jailed for under-declaration of customs duties, and said he was not responsible.

The statements come at the end of a drawn out battle between former Zespri employee Joseph Yu, who was jailed in 2012 when Zespri subsidiary
