NBR Online subscriptions

To ensure continuous service and to make managing your subscription easy, all our subscriptions are auto-renewed by credit card.

Your subscription will automatically renew on your due date. This date can be found by going to My Account on the top righthand side of your subscription once you are logged in- then click SUBSCRIPTION on the right hand side.
If you do not wish to renew your NBR subscription you can cancel by advising us by email at customerservices@nbr.co.nz.
If you do not cancel the subscription or we do not hear from you, we'll automatically renew your membership at the current rate. The subscription rate may change from time to time.
Please note that you can change or cancel your subscription at any time before your renewal date.
An NBR ONLINE premium subscription allows you to have three simultaneously remembered logons on your devices (e.g. your work PC, home PC, smartphone, laptop and tablet).
An individual NBR account is for a single person and therefore cannot be set up under a generic email address that is accessed by multiple people (e.g., info@info.com).

Your individual subscription cannot be transferred to another user.

The logon cannot be shared with others - sharing with others is a breach of copyright.

You agree that your name, address, email address, year of birth, postcode, gender and mobile/telephone number will be collected and stored by The National Business Review and used for the purpose of managing your subscription, communicating with you about your subscription and to notify you of any associated customer offers or benefits or future subscriptions, unless otherwise notified by you. At any time, you agree to The National Business Review being able to contact you via any form necessary about current NBR promotions or that of one of our third-party partners. This includes via email, phone call, SMS, social media and/or Push Notifications. If you do not wish to continue to be contacted by The National Business Review, simply contact Customer Service at customerservices@nbr.co.nz and you will be removed from receiving any further communications.

NBR Marketplace Online subscriptions

Any qualified real estate agent and member of REINZ, working for or as a contractor to any major real estate company can purchase a NBR Marketplace subscription. Each listing will display the name of the listing agent who must have an individual NBR Marketplace Subscription. Under no circumstances can an NBR Marketplace Subscriber list properties for another agent, individual or organisation. To do so will immediately void the agent's right to publish listings and the NBR Marketplace Subscription will be cancelled without refund.

Your login details cannot be shared with others. However the primary account holder is able to nominate up to two administration users to manage listings on NBR Marketplace on their behalf. These listings will display the name of the primary account holder. To do this, email customerservices@nbr.co.nz and nominate the Administration users and which account or accounts they can manage.

Each listing needs to include the name of the agent, company logo, location, brief property description, video link, thumbnail image and a link to the listing on the company’s own website. The video will showcase the property and will consist of video with a suitable music track. There will be no agents/presenters on camera or voice over. NBR Marketplace reserves the right to reject videos based on aesthetic or technical grounds.
NBR Marketplace also requires an approximate price of the property, which will not be published. The price is required for filtering purposes on the website.

NBR Marketplace reserves the right to reject properties, which in its view, do not meet the definition of ‘luxury’. We hold minimum values for property within each New Zealand region to define ‘luxury’. These values have come from REINZ research and are at NBR’s discretion.
NBR Marketplace subscribers must allow NBR to re-purpose this content for marketing purposes. Any social marketing of a listing will directly link to the page on NBR Marketplace, which allows the viewer to go to the real estate company website.

Pricing

Unless otherwise stated, all pricing includes GST. All transactions are debited in New Zealand dollars.

Copyright

All content of this website is copyright NBR and cannot be reproduced, in any form, without permission.
Subscribers and others are encouraged to post a headline and a link to an NBR article. If you are sharing an article with a group that includes people without paywall access, we encourage you to let them know that they can register for a premium account to read the article.

Refund policy

NBR does not provide refunds on cancelled subscriptions. Exceptions can be granted at the discretion of the publisher.

NBR Comments Policy

We’re one of the few news websites to continue to allow comments when many of our competitors have simply decided to disable them altogether.
We want to encourage lively, intelligent debate on issues that matter to New Zealand and we feel commenting provides a great avenue for subscribers and writers to interact with each other and spark stimulating discussions.
However, all comments are made public so the discussions on our articles need to remain respectful of others and free of trolls, spam, and abuse. NBR has decided to make it plain what our guidelines are, given there will be differing views on what constitutes offensive or insulting comments:

  • Play the ball, not the man/woman. Respect others. Do not swear or be rude. Comments deemed abusive, sexist or racist will be deleted.
  • Don’t troll. Comments that add no value to the discussion or are simply insulting will be deleted.
  • Don’t spam. This is not the place to sell to others.
  • Do not defame. Don’t state information as fact when it is simply your view and don’t defame people by claiming they have done things you can’t prove.
  • Use anonymity in the spirit intended: If you are in some way involved in the story being commented on, use your own name rather than comment anonymously or the comments will be removed. Who is commenting under anonymity is still available to NBR, though not the wider public.

Consequences: Subscribers who don’t stick to the guidelines will find their comments deleted or edited. Serious offenders will receive a warning from the moderator and repeat offending could see them banned outright from the website.
If you think a comment has breached these guidelines you can contact NBR moderators at editor@nbr.co.nz.
Comments posted on the website are the views of the commenter only and not endorsed by NBR.
