Wellington Airport idea likely to be waved off

The idea of a new Wellington airport on the hills of Newlands appears fogbound.

Plans were put to the Wellington City Council by property developer Richard Burrell, who says Newlands has the land and is also handy to the main route into the city, via both the Hutt Motorway and Ngauranga
