US holidaymakers boost Auckland Airport arrivals in July

Two US airlines have made a big impact in their first full month of operations.

Leisure travellers from the US rose a whopping 36.2% in July thanks to 11 new weekly flights, latest Auckland Airport [NZX:AIA] figures show.

Overall, international arrivals jumped 16%, or 171,406, for the month as two US airlines, American and United, entered the market, one in direct competition
