Uber says different rules apply to Christchurch's 'unique' situation

Uber acknowledges its car checks in Christchurch are of a lesser standard than it requires in Wellington and Auckland.

But it says its criminal checks and driver behaviour checks via the New Zealand Transport Agency are the same as those applied by regular taxi services.
