TPP talks snag over Japan-US impasse on farm protection

Trade ministers negotiating the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership have ended four days of talks in Singapore without making any sign of major progress.

Reporters covering the talks say they have reached an impasse over Japan’s refusal to ease protection of its faming and car manufacturing
