The Supreme Court has ruled against the IRD, in a case setting a precedent for who gets what when companies fail.
Hawke’s Bay transport firm Jennings Roadfreight had owed about $50,000 in PAYE to the IRD and paid about $14,000 to the taxman after it went into liquidation.
