The parity party ship has sailed

Put away the streamers and party hats; experts say the Kiwi opportunity to break the parity mark with the Aussie has come and gone.

The parity party has ended and it is now highly unlikely that the New Zealand dollar will be worth more than the Aussie dollar.

“That ship has sailed,” CMC Markets sales trader Sheldon Slabbert told NBR Radio yesterday.

His comments come after the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) cut its interest
