Usually, when a company that is performing poorly asks shareholders to approve a big hike in directors' fees, that tends to invite a shareholder rebellion.
But Steel & Tube Holdings shareholders overwhelmingly approved a $155,000 increase in the directors’ fee pool to $575,000 with nearly 87%
