Sky TV wins right to urgent hearing in $1.44m damages case against Kodi box seller

Sky has sought only nominal costs from individual pirates. But it wants the book thrown at a Kodi box reseller.

The High Court in Hamilton has granted Sky TV the right to an urgent hearing against Matamata company My Box – the seller of so-called “Kodi” boxes that allow people to access Sky TV-licensed content for no monthly cost.

The ruling was made on Monday but only revealed after an NBR inquiry this
