Savers should be spared slashed rates following anticipated OCR cut

Kiwi savers shouldn’t be too alarmed by the prospect of the Reserve Bank cutting interest rates next week, an expert says.

According to Massey University associate professor David Tripe, it’s unlikely deposit rates will be dramatically slashed by retail banks passing on a full 0.25% cut.
