Rich Lister wins court scrap over Steel & Tube lease

Decision makes parent company liable for subsidiary's actions.

A High Court judge has allowed NBR Rich Lister Sir David Levene’s investment firm to stake a claim against Steel & Tube [NZX: STU] for the actions of its former subsidiary.

Lewis Holdings brought the claim, worth about $1.75 million, before Justice Alan MacKenzie in the High Court at Wellington.
