California-based Kiwi businessman David Teece has lost a court skirmish against an Islamic investment firm, which is pursuing him for $US3.4 million.

In 2014, Bahrain-based Kuwait Finance House won a case in the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution against Dr Teece, an NBR Rich Lister.
