Reserve Bank governor will still be in the driver’s seat
The Reserve Bank board will choose the external committee members.

Once new legislation is passed, the Reserve Bank will have a committee making decisions on monetary policy but the governor will still be in the driver’s seat.
Previously, the governor had sole responsibility for setting monetary policy.
