RBNZ to signal end of LVR rules

Restrictions on low deposit, high mortgage lending to end as the RBNZ ponders a less inflationary world.

The future for loan to value (LVR) restrictions on low deposit mortgages will be signalled on Wednesday, and there is growing likelihood they will soon go.

The rules were kicked off by the Reserve Bank last October, ostensibly as a tool to prevent the number of  low deposit/high mortgage loans
