Australia-based private equity firm Pacific Equity Partners is poised to buy New Zealand school and education company Academic Colleges Group for about $500 million.

Current owners led by deputy chairman Danny Chan and investment firm Waterman Capital appointed UBS and Macquarie to run a sale
