Long-suffering investors in an unlisted fund known as Epic could be in for a Christmas present after its board this month announced the sale of its main asset.

Epic, short for Equity Partners Infrastructure Company, was launched on the public in 2007 at $1 a share by Macquarie and NBR Rich Lister
