Online retail sales growth slowed to single digits in July

Online sales are still less than 8% of total retail spending.

Retail sales online continue to grow much faster than sales through bricks-and-mortar stores but the rate of growth has slowed markedly.

Growth in purchases from international websites was more than 50% back in 2011 but such sales were only up 8% in July and growth in purchases from domestic
