New Zealand's biggest defamation award upheld

Website publisher Vince Siemer has lost his appeal against a judgment ordering him to pay damages of $900,000 for defamation against insolvency practitioner Michael Stiassny.

The damages – $825,000 to Mr Stiassny and $75,000 to his company KordaMentha – are the largest awarded for defamation
