Netflix reveals record quarter, and a focus on partnering with the likes of Sky TV

Partnerships with traditional TV broadcasters loom large as part of the streaming video company's strategy as it clocks another record result.

Netflix shares [NAS:NFLX] rose 9.16% today as the streaming video giant revealed record subscriber growth.

Net profit for the first quarter of 2018 rose 63% (versus the year-ago-quarter) to $US290 million.

Quarterly revenue rose 43% to $US3.9 billion.

The company added 7.41 million
