Modified manuka honey test 'frees' $40m in exports

Government research institute GNS Science says modifications to the test for manuka honey will free up $40 million of product that did not previously meet laboratory tests.

The manuka honey industry has been restricted since lab tests overseas gave erroneously high cane sugar levels.
