Market expectations for GDT miss by a mile

Today's massive overshot is one of the biggest misses by the dairy futures market this year.

This morning’s 1.9% gain in dairy prices at the GlobalDairyTrade (GDT) auction missed market expectations by a country mile.

Just a week ago, the dairy futures market was indicating prices would rise  8%, but buyers weren't as desperate for product as the market had anticipated.
