The New Zealand parliament today successfully passed the Countering Terrorist Fighters Legislation Bill with a wide majority.

The legislation aims to stop New Zealanders travelling to Iraq or Syria to join terrorist groups by boosting powers for New Zealand’s intelligence and law enforcement
