Inflation to stay benign despite food price spike

Despite a few offshore rumblings, there won’t be much to trouble the Reserve Bank in tomorrow’s inflation data.

The consumers' price index is out late tomorrow morning: General market consensus is for a 0.4% quarterly rise, taking the year-on-year increase from 1.7% to 1.8%.
