Inflation: it's low, but taxes and councils still adding costs to economy

Price inflation took another tumble, with the annual consumer price index reporting only a 1% rise.

That is at the bottom of the Reserve Bank's 1-3% target band: it is also below not only the central bank's expectations but those of virtually every economist who follows the New Zealand
