A shortage of gas combined with low hydro lake levels led to higher coal burn at Genesis Energy’s Huntly power station in the three months to June, the company said.
In a statement to the NZX, Genesis said its coal stockpiles had fallen to 231 kilotonnes from 624kt in March.
