Freightways increases profit despite declining mail market

Freightways has reported annual after-tax profit up a steady 8%, making gains despite a declining mail market.
The Auckland-based courier and logistics company reported net profit after tax of $54.4 million in the year to June 30, slightly ahead of consensus analyst expectations.
