Fonterra to benefit from Aussie rival’s pain: analyst

Fonterra’s [NZX: FSF] Australian business will benefit from rival Murray Goulburn’s misfortune after the Victoria-based co-op slashed its milk price and profit forecast yesterday, an analyst says.

In a research note, Forsyth Barr analyst James Bascand says Fonterra’s costs would fall by $80-110
