Fonterra: Scrapping interest-free loans to farmers not down to Fitch’s recommendation

Fonterra [NZX: FCG] has denied that a recent announcement by Fitch was the reason the co-operative scrapped its interest-free loan initiative.
The ratings agency this week revealed the interest-free loan to farmers was a key factor behind downgrading Fonterra’s credit rating in October.
