Fonterra agrees milk price bonus for Aussie farmers

Extra A40c a kg on payout follows benchmark price hike from Murray Goulburn.

Fonterra has agreed to pay its 1100 Australian suppliers an extra A40c a kilogram of milk solids to match a price boost offered by its rival Murray Goulburn.

The payment, amounting to an estimated $A59 million, will be paid monthly on top of next season’s milk price.
