Northland-based artist Shane Hansen's $200,000 claim against campervan hire company Escape Rentals, alleging it copied his artworks and painted them on rental vehicles, is close to a settlement.

The claim asserts in September 2013 Escape Rentals painted or authorised or commissioned the painting
