Electricity customer churn reached a record in 2017

The Electricity Authority is touting a record level of customer churn as evidence of how competitive the New Zealand’s retail electricity market is.

The figures show 440,906 customers changed electricity retailers in 2017, beating the previous record set in 2015 of 417,642 switches.
