Controversial developer Ee Kuoh (Augustine) Lau tried to bankrupt himself before Inland Revenue and Auckland Council could close in on him.

However, he didn’t get the paperwork right – so failed.

The matter caused some confusion this morning at a hearing in the High Court at Auckland
