Defamation case exposes rifts between govt agencies

A defamation action against high-flying law official and academic Matthew Palmer has failed – but the case exposes tensions between Crown Law, IRD and the Serious Fraud Office. 

The action was brought against Dr Palmer, at the time Deputy Solicitor-General, by former Inland Revenue
