Customs, petrol retailers likely headed to court
The dispute boils down to Customs alleging the Wiri terminal shareholders failed to collect enough excise tax since the terminal opened.
It looks very much as if the dispute between the Customs Service and Z Energy [NZX: ZEL] and the other three petrol companies which own the Wiri fuel terminal are headed for court – and that Customs thinks legal proceedings are already under way.
