Currency Talk: Less hawkish Fed disappoints market

Looking ahead, the majority of economists and market watchers in New Zealand is picking the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will keep the OCR on hold this week.

The US Federal Reserve’s less hawkish than expected statement last week caused the greenback to fall, despite the Fed hiking rates.

The Fed raised interest rates for the second time in three months on March 16 (NZ time), with the federal funds rate now at 0.75-1%.
