The New Zealand dollar spent much of yesterday fluctuating as traders assessed the damage that the magnitude 7.5 earthquake had caused to the country.
The kiwi initially dropped by a third of a cent to 0.708USc, before rebounding to 0.714USc, then falling back down to 0.708USc.
