Crown chief executive pay to be reined in, prime minister promises

Legislation requiring Crown entity boards to seek approval for CEO pay rises is in the works.

The government is trying to rein in high pay rises for the chief executives of Crown entities like ACC and the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.

Legislation will be introduced to Parliament on Thursday, which will require Crown entity boards to seek the approval of the State Services Commissioner
