Crafar farms owner seeks OIO relief

Lochinver documents reveal request to ease condition on milk processing.

The Chinese owner of the Crafar dairy farms wants Overseas Investment Office restrictions lifted on its ownership of milk processing, documents show.

Milk New Zealand, owned by Chinese businessman Zhaobai Jiang, got OIO approval to buy the 16 farms in 2012, on condition any involvement in milk
