Claims NZ has a shortfall of 60,000 homes ‘erroneous,’ PM says

He says some housing shortage is good, as it shows an underlying strength in the economy.

Prime Minister Bill English has scoffed at reports claiming New Zealand has a shortfall of 60,000 houses, saying the real figure is closer to “10,000-20,000.”

This morning, Treasury documents revealed by a Labour Party Official Information Act request showed a “cumulative shortfall” of houses
