Christchurch rates rise offset by sale of clapped out limo

Christchurch City Councillors were unable to stave off a 7.5% rates increase for the city’s hard pressed ratepayers.
They did shave off a few pennies here and there – no Christmas decorations, saving about $50,000, plus selling one of the city’s major liabilities – a clapped out mayoral
