Christchurch Airport sees bigger year for international tourism
More direct flights are planned from China and other parts of Asia.

Christchurch Airport is poised for another strong year after international passenger traffic surged 7% in the past year.
Chinese and Indian tourists led the rise, which contributed to a total of 1.45 million travellers. Domestic traffic rose 3.3% to 4.5 million.
