The cost of a supposed quick and cheap fix of the façades and parapets of nearly 100 Wellington commercial buildings has escalated by about 10-fold.
That’s likely to mean hardly any of the unreinforced masonry buildings, which are deemed earthquake-prone, will be fixed by the deadline of March
