Newly appointed Reserve Bank board chairman Rod Carr was – briefly – governor almost exactly a decade ago.
Dr Carr filled in as acting governor after Don Brash unexpectedly resigned to venture into politics, and stood down in July 2003 when Alan Bollard was appointed to the top job.
