Capital Letter: Compensation cut for NZ bill of rights breaches
The searches had been executed at ACC's request, with information supporting the warrant application provided by two private investigators contracted by ACC to investigate V and P.

Six years after the Crown admitted breaches of the NZ Bill of Rights Act 1990 when in 2006 undertaking searches of the properties of two men (V and P) suspected of ACC fraud, V obtained $10,000 public law compensation in High Court proceedings, and both men obtained indemnity damages (less 20%).
