Banks slash ad spend

Despite the general decline in bank ad spending, Heartland Bank increased its spend by 110%.

Most New Zealand banks continued to make major cuts to their advertising budgets last year but NZX-listed Heartland Bank increased its spend by 110%.

Last year’s top 10 bank advertisers shaved a combined $22.9m off their whopping $110.3m 2014 spend, according to Nielsen rate card data.
