The five largest lenders to the dairy sector could write off about $9.5 billion over the next five years under the more severe of two stress tests ordered by the Reserve Bank.
Under that scenario, this year’s milk payout would fall to $3 a kilo of milk solids compared with the $3.90/kgMS Fonterra
