Auckland's black budget passes by narrow margin

Auckland Council’s budget for the next three years has passed by one vote.

After five and-a-half hours of debate and warnings over the dire financial consequences if the budget was not passed, councillors voted 10-9 to accept the long-term plan that includes the budget, for the next three years.
