ANALYSIS: Wheeler hikes OCR against rosier economic outlook

A series of small interest rate hikes over the next few months look highly likely as the Reserve Bank moves to contain inflation.

As expected, Reserve Bank governor Graeme Wheeler this morning lifted the official cash rate (OCR) from 2.5% to 2.75%.
