AA says most Auckland motorists will accept fuel tax

Car drivers' group expresses concern about consultation process.

The Automobile Association says 38% of members it surveyed are opposed to a fuel tax for Auckland although most Aucklanders are likely to accept it.

The AA released the results of its survey as the regional fuel tax bill passed its first reading in the House and local government consultation
